Our sweet gal Hayley made the long-awaited trip to come visit us 🎉 She has a fall break from University and took 3 long flights over to meet us in Hanoi, Vietnam!
Our first stop was Train Street in Old Quarter. The track was built by the French in 1902 and is still an active rail line. The train comes through a few times a day and there are some cafes you can sit at to enjoy the crazy experience. The train comes so close to the narrow side streets, you could reach out and touch it.
After, we took a walk around Westlake and explored our new surroundings.
Hanoi is definitely a bustling city. And the drivers here are crazy!!!! There’s no rules to the road, they just squeeze in wherever they can. Also pedestrians definitely do not have the right of way 😂 No one stops when you are standing at a crosswalk, you just have to bravely and steadily gauge the flow of traffic and go for it! Haha
