One of our last little days trips from Chiang Mai was to the beautiful Buatong Waterfall, also called Sticky Waterfall. It gets its nickname because the rock cascading down the hill side is a limestone deposit, that is incredibly grippy. The rock is a bit rough feeling, almost like soft sandpaper. Since no algae or slime adheres to the limestone rocks, it’s not slippery at all. You can basically walk/climb right up some impressively steep rock cliffs with water rushing over… Just like Spider-Man!
It’s hard to capture in pictures how beautiful the waterfall and national park is. We had a really fun day just climbing, exploring, and cooling off in the crystal clear water. One of our favourite days on the entire trip!

Enjoy your travels, Jewels! ❤️
