Here in Da Nang is the hugest Ferris wheel called the Sun Wheel 🎡
I’ve been wanting to go on it since the first day we got here. It was formerly located in Shigo, Japan, built in 1992 at 108 metres tall, and named “Igosu 108”. It was the tallest Ferris Wheel in the world from 1992 to 1997, then closed in 2001. It was dismantled, then gifted from Japan to Vietnam, and rebuilt on a taller base. It now stands 115 metres tall.
We decided to walk the whole 5 km to it, and on the way were treated to the most beautiful sunset.
I maintained a tight grip and was a brave girl though 🏆
The view from up top was amazing and Da Nang was all lit up, as per uuush. This city goes all out with its lights, it’s amazing.
Another fun site here is the Dragon Bridge. The bridge crosses the Han River and is shaped and lit up like a dragon. On weekends at 9 pm sharp, they close the bridge to all traffic for 15 minutes, while the dragon’s head breathes fire and then sprays water. It’s a good show and tons of people come out to watch it.
We’ve covered a fair bit of ground during our time here in Da Nang. And when our feet get tired, we take a beach day to work on our tans some more. We’ve decided this is a place we want to winter in again, it has everything a snowbird could want!
🦶🏻 Sore feet but happy travellers 🩵

What an awesome city! The lights are beautiful and that dragon bridge was amazing. So fun! Thanks so much for sharing all these pics, videos, and info. I'm sure I'll never get there, but it kinda feels like I'm getting a taste of the beauty, the tranquility, and even the crazy!
